Give New Jersey back to the people

Post by discerning »

Dream from this morning...

I was watching a big screen tv. The scene, which completely filled the screen, was a bird's eye view of multiplied masses of people in the streets. A few, scattered around near the fringe of the frame, were violent/rioting. Those in the center appeared dejected, forlorn, lethargic even. These seemed to be the focus.

I then saw flashes of individual faces, as if the camera had zoomed in for a closeup, yet the scene on the screen never changed. Mm...it was like I was literally there...looking into the faces of these people while simultaneously seeing the masses on the big screen. What I saw/sensed in their expressions was utter despair.

I was overwhelmed with a sense of grief and could feel tears rolling down my cheeks. I heard Matthew 16 as the screen went stark white. It was so bright, it hurt my eyes. Then these words appeared on the white screen, in bold black letters...

Give New Jersey back to the people.

The bird's eye view of the masses suddenly reappeared on the screen. The violence which previously appeared on the fringe was gone. The masses were rejoicing.

I woke up, tears streaming.

Hello Discerning, I have in-laws that currently live there and right it is total chaos. People who thought thet had dependable jobs or those who looked forward to a comfortable retirement are now looking to lose jobs, homes etc... Because the local government are making dramatic cuts. I lived there for a year while my husband was in Iraq and I am here to say there is something in the air there; it felt like being imprisoned. Pray you get clarity over this.

not aware of what's going on there, and reading up on Matthew chapter 16

the only part that made sense when applied to this dream would be the discussion about Yeast or reference to when Jesus fed the 5,000

the dream could be highlighting a lack of provision for alot of folks

In regards to this, there is a lot of lack there on so many fronts. So much so, that when I was living there, I had asked for a revival and for Him to touch this place. It was one thing to visit for a few days but another to live there and see the daily grind and inner workings there.

This is about inheritance for a wicked and adulterous generation.

New Jersey is the Garden state. I believe that is significant to your dream as well. Our salvation is supposed to bring us back to what was from the beginning. Our relationship with the man and the woman with God in the Garden of Eden. Eden means pleasure. I think your dream is prophetic.

I'd say it's time to pray for New Jersey, that its people would be released from the captor's snare, that they would be enabled to step out of the darkness of despair and into the light of Yeshua and again have the freedom to choose to follow YHWH by the power of Ruach HaKodesh. Oh Lord, let them see that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God! (Mt. 16:16)

He has come to set the captives free! Open the gates and allow the captives to leave the kingdom of darkness! In Jesus' Name! We pray, our loving heavenly Father, for open eyes, open ears and a huge dump of faith for these dear folk! May their state be full of hope, love, joy, peace and faith and prosper as never before! May the former captives come rejoicing as they bring in the harvest with them!
...that I might know Him...

Discerning, it's also interesting that you would dream about
New Jersey when you're here in Georgia

do you know someone from there who had that place on your mind lately?

We need the garden state, but we have been in a kind of famine.
2 kings 4:38-41 When Elisha returned to Gilgal, there was a famine in the land. [fn]As the sons of the prophets were sitting before him, he said to his servant, "Put on the large pot and boil stew for the sons of the prophets." Then one went out into the field to gather herbs, and found a wild vine and gathered from it his lap full of wild gourds, and came and sliced them into the pot of stew, for they did not know what they were. So they poured it out for the men to eat. And as they were eating of the stew, they cried out and said, "O man of God, there is death in the pot." And they were unable to eat.But he said, "Now bring meal." He threw it into the pot and said, "Pour it out for the people that they may eat." Then there was no harm in the pot.

It is interesting that Elijah was Elisha's forerunner and that the name Elisha has the same meaning as Jesus....God saves.
"For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee."

Hello...This is just a thought but the Lord may be asking you to pray for the native American peoples of New Jersey. They have been mis-treated for generations and over these last few years what small piece of land they had has been taken away for their water. I know as I am Native American and lived there when I was younger. We have been praying for years that the Lord would give us the land back as we know that it belongs to the Lord and that we are only the caretakers of His property. Politics and greed have overtaken New Jersey.

May the Lords Will be done.

Hello WOG, did you ever get clarity over this one? Your dream came to my mind earlier and I am not sure if it is because every news report I am getting on Sandy is focused on NJ.

I just saw Governor Chris Christie on Good Morning America, surprisingly, praising the Obama administration for their response there. I thought it was a very nice move, although uncharacteristic of him. He had a monogrammed sweatshirt that said in a huge font, 'CHRIS CHRISTIE-GOVERNOR' on it. My husband laughed at that and even though I know Christie's usually against the current administration, it still reminded me of 'big government' for some reason. Socialism, I mean.
Give New Jersey back to the people.
That's what I felt looking at his monogrammed sweatshirt :). Not sure if that's accurate on my part, just what I felt watching this a few minutes ago. I think it's great that the govt help there, definitely, I just felt like there was a 'big government' type message in that segment for us to notice. Maybe not even in regards to the storm, perhaps in a way that will stem from it.

Also in regards to New Jersey, last night we were finishing dinner at home and I felt the Lord tug at me to come away and pray. I shut myself up in my closet and found myself in Jude (???)(that's different) reading about...

12 When these people eat with you in your fellowship meals commemorating the Lord’s love, they are like dangerous reefs that can shipwreck you.[e] They are like shameless shepherds who care only for themselves. They are like clouds blowing over the land without giving any rain. They are like trees in autumn that are doubly dead, for they bear no fruit and have been pulled up by the roots. 13 They are like wild waves of the sea, churning up the foam of their shameful deeds. They are like wandering stars, doomed forever to blackest darkness.

I just saw this on the news and it brought back to remembrance this verse about
'sea foam' from last night. Watching it, I felt my spirit calling out for mercy. Not that sea foam is the greatest of their worries, but there's something correlating with this verse and my spirit recognized something my brain does not, I suppose.

Just wanted to share these thoughts in regards to New Jersey that I was just thinking about. Also just wanted to keep this one bumped up...very interesting post.
