Emeralds and rubies in the kitchen

I was in my home and my sister just after me went out and came back. She was about to leave again, with the front door - she had a rucksack on her back, the bag contained loads of bags of sweets.

For some reason thinking she needed more to give away, I gathered a few more bags of sweets and zipped up her bag. I asked where she was going - she said she was going to a place that I didn't think she was going to. She also said after I had suggested where she might be going, that she was going to the hairdressers.

When she left, I knew she had taken food from the kitchen and went to tidy up. When I got there it was as if she had taken everything, the place was so bare. As I looked at a white grill shelf on part of the cooker, just slightly under a piece of metal, I saw a string of Emeralds and then I saw some Rubies. I was surprised that she hadn't taken them.
