Just something to kick around in your head and see if it gives you anything:
Gemstones designated by carat weight pre 1907. Carat is derived form the seed (Kuara) of the African Coal tree or some the Kernel (Greek: Kertion) of the carob bean used by traders to measure gemstone weights centuries ago. This was called local weight. Since 1907 Europe and America have adopted the metric system of carat weight. Therefore the meaning of the word carat we use now is not the same word.

Thanks! I checked it out. Interesting read. I tried it but Im used to "thinking" sentences...(I analyze everything) and didnt seem to have a problem with it. Gonna study it a bit more. I also thought on the Carob seed kernal (Greek Kertion) that since it was used as a measurement weight that possibly it has something to do with the weight of your intercession...just a thought...

I found something very interesting!!!
Please dis if this don't fit!!
I looked up the word Kerchon (like you pronounced)
and google gave me kerching!
Kerching is the sound a register makes when it is open!!
I found this......Said to indicate that someone is obtaining money, especially a comparatively large amount.
