Hey Rocky!
I pulled a photo off an email for my avatar here, and I uploaded it to picasa so I could link to it. It keeps disappearing, though! why??

nope. I have no knowledge of picassa. As long as the link is reachable on the internet. I had some problems with my avatar showing up last few weeks as well, must be slowness between verizon.net servers (where my avatar is stored at from my personal web space) and our board hosting servers to pull in the icon in time before showing the page in my case. You might have had a similar problem between picassa's servers and the board hosting servers with timeout's being reached before drawing the page so it skipped your avatar. Just a guess.
