President Obahmas Consultant

Post by piano »

A dream...

I was in a small office building. In the next room the President (Obahma) was at his desk working. He was on the telephone which had many lines. He was extremely busy.

A woman walked in with an appointment to see him. He had given me the authority to take some of his appointments due to his heavy work load. (Another word would be to delegate)

I invited the woman to come into my office, but just inside the door, as I began to ask her about what she wanted to talk about with the president and explaining that I was his consultant, she gave me a blank stare, and said nothing.

She would not discuss any issues with me, and I guessed (in my dream) it was because she came to talk with the President personally, and I was not who she wanted to talk to.

She left and someone I know by the name of P. (positive person in my life, an acquaintance and Christian) was standing behind a couch in my office and next to a very large standing cylindrical fish tank..instead of fish and water in it, it looked more like one of those things you see in Spencer Gifts. It had a thick clear liquid in it with sparkling multi-colorful confetti type pieces swirling around in it that reflected the light.

I asked him "Did you see what just happened" and he nodded "yes"

Just then a delivery came. A brown paper wrapped box.

When I opened it I found a bottle of red/blood colored liquid.
It was the shape of an Aramis Shampoo bottle with a gold top and I knew it was for washing my hands, as I had just emptied the bottle I had previously and needed a refill.

I took the squirt spout off of the empty bottle, removed the cap on the new bottle and replaced it with the squirt top.

I proceed to put it next to the sink, squirt some into my hands and thoroughly wash them in this blood colored soap.

I began wondering if the President was still swamped.

I peeked into his office and he was still on the phone, as I looked to what extention he had just answered...413.

After waking I looked up in my Bible the correlating passage of this page, which seems weird and is something I do often...as lead, but anyways, here it is..

2 Kings 2:19-22
Then the men of the city said to Elisha, “Behold now, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord sees; but the water is bad, and the land is unfruitful.” And he said, “Bring me a new jar, and put salt in it.” So they brought it to him. And he went out to the spring of water, and threw salt in it and said, “Thus says the LORD, ‘I have purified these waters; there shall not be from there death or unfruitfulness any longer.’” So the waters have been purified to this day, according to the word of Elisha which he spoke.

Thank you for reading. I have some interpretation for this, but I would prefer to open it up for others to interpret.
P.S. My feelings for The President in the dream were positive, not negative.

Piano...I think it is significant that you used the word consultant as your definition of your role in this dream:

Consultant:advisor; counselor; coach; person who gives professional advice; an expert or specialist in an area

Expert: : having, involving, or displaying special skill or knowledge derived from training or learning.

This is how I am seeing your dream...as ever weigh and pray and discard what does not resonate ;)

I am seeing President Obahma as representing God's governmental rule (Isaiah 9:6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.)

As his child you are a delegate of that rule (consultant=one who has learned at the feet of the master ;)) but someitmes people will walk past you and not recognise your role (let us be clear here that none of us can stand as intermediaries in the sense of the OT priests but we are all called to represent God in this world...but just as the world did not recognise Jesus sometimes it will not recognise us either).

I believe that Paul Weaver may represent the work of the encourager...the Holy Spirit who aids us in our discernment (You asked: did you see that?...you are checking you read that situation right with him).

The soap refill...speaks of cleansing in the blood for service in the kingdom (psalm 24 He who has clean hands and a pure heart...)

So...I am thinking this dream has to do with your service in the Kingdom...I don't know if you are in ministry or feel called to ministry/christian service...as counsellor in the kingdom bur I sense that the Lord is reassuring you that He has prepared you for good works and His grace is sufficient for you.

God is Good

Thank you Charlie for your interpretations,
These are fitting perfectly.

I have a heart for others healing and freedom from chains that bind.

Pride is something that can easily take root when God gives His gifts.
I do believe this dream touches on my own pride.
I like this site because the very Foundation of His Grace as we learn in these prophetic giftings is underlined.
God is faithful even when I do isolate, or fall into pride.
He delivers me because of who He is.

Thank you Charlie!

2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is long-suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Hi Piano...a couple of things to add to think/pray into as I think there are layers to this dream for your instruction:

The distinction I would make clear here is that God (unlike human "governors") is never too busy so in that sense he does not need to delegate (otherwise he would be rather more finite adn limited than I understand scripture to indicate He is :)).

I understand that God chooses to call us to enter in to His mission of love and restoration alongside Him...it is in that sense that I understand your being a consultant/delegate of the Kingdom in the dream.

When i read the bit of washing your hands I understood the double meaning as this: in your sense of rejection you indeed wish to "wash your hands" of the situation but I believe that the Lord is wooing you to a place of a new washing which is what I referred to in my original interp. You see when Pilate washed his hands of his responsibility to act justly in Jesus trial he effectively disempowered himself (and note he used water not blood coloured soap :) yet blood was on his hands). No, you are not disempowered but God reminds you (as He regularly reminds me) that you need to repent of allowing rejection to sour your spirit of service (clean hands and a pure heart) which is why reinforcements of blood-coloured soap arrived jsut when you needed them:).

Sometimes in service we simply get things wrong, sometimes we are overlooked adn rejected...this is par of the course and those of us who are particularly sensitive to rejection need to be reminded that that spirit of rejection could not hold Jesus adn we msut not allow it to hold us...we will be rejected, misunderstood time and time and time again...we must learn to oeprate out of grace adn love not rejection....

God does not need us to help Him (ok this is a deep theological one which we could explore at profound depths...but at least from our superficial point of view presented y the busy president in your dream He doesn't) but WE DO NEED GOD TO HELP US.

I believe that at times we take ourselves too seriously and can become too forceful in trying to "do the business"...God is gracious and he holds time in the palm of His hand...His ways are often not our ways...we need to stop worrying about whether He is going to cope and what we can do to help and start watching and listening and loving more...

Ok Piano...probably by now you are wishing I hadn't started...I may not see things quite clearly but I am sharing what was on my heart for you as well as reminding myself at the same time...we are "consultants for the King" but even consultants are always learning and make mistakes; furthermore, you know how fond people are of getting a second opinion...? ;)

Maybe someone else will have a different take...
Blessings!

Ahh it was pouring rain out here this morning! Floods of water! Its gonna be a good day.

Sometimes it isnt easy to look at the difficult things.

I know a lot of things but once I think I know them I often find I need to relearn them.

Thanks for being gracious and truthful.

piano wrote:I could be the most trustworthy person in the world, but if someone is plaqued with mis-trust, or something else, it doesn't matter.
Their issues and need to protect themselves, defend, will prevail without divine intervention.
And then again, a person can just choose not to fellowship because they just don't want to. Simple as that. It is their choice. My duty is to celebrate this freedom to choose, is not try to control it.
Thats why prayer is so wonderful..so important to me.
It helps me let go and let God.
This is great! Thanks for sharing...it is sooo amazing when we look back and see where God has strengthened us...
and I agree it is heart-breaking when as you say you reach out and people through their own issues can't receive...I just keep asking God to help me keep open to receiving from others too as it can be surprising who He chooses to send our way sometimes!

Great to share with you and hope this day is flooded with His joy!
