Old dream

Post by Blessings »

I was just remembering an old recurring dream my mother used to have. I think she still has it now and then. In the dream I'm around 3 years old. I'm lost. She frantically looks for me and then she wakes up and realizes I'm there. I'm 39 years old now. My mother is in her seventies.

What I'm picking up here is perhaps an unwillingness to let go of you and trust you as an adult. Please forgive me if I'm wrong, far be it from me to judge your mother......
bless you

Is that age significant to her?? Did something happen when you were 3 or when she was 3 that instilled fear in her??

Talitha and WFH, Well I have been on the other side of the world for the last 15 years as a missionary. That hasn't been easy, particularly for my mother. It was when I married a native of the land that really was difficult. I'm also the youngest. So you are probably right. I asked my mom if I ever got lost or anything she said no. But come to think of it I would get severe ear infections as a child that would give me high fevers. She maybe was scared of losing me. She did seem to have these dreams the most when I was about 18.
