Building being stripped from within. Gutted so to speak. Damon means "To tame or subdue". Valuables lying around as if abandoned. You partook of the things but then felt as if you may be stealing. It could be a warning not to get involved in something that is meeting its demise. The account of Elisha not taking anything from Namaan comes to mind. Gehazi took it and got in big trouble.
