house destroyed by wind

i was talking to mom in house i grew up in ...she fixed it up so nice ...she did so much work on it and was proud of it ...suddenly a mighty wind blew the house apart ...she ran upstairs into my room, and she would not come out ...she did not want to leave even-though the house was ruined ...i could not reach her, because the stairs and room were separated ...all i could see were her feet ...i told her we must leave, its not safe, that the house was destroyed, and could not be fixed, but she would not respond
