Trying on Shoes

Post by dance-in-the-son »

Hello, I had this dream last night.

I needed some shoes that were good for my feet, that supported me, like orthotics. I tried on brown ones and black ones, I liked the brown best but thought black would match with everything better. I couldn’t decide which ones I wanted.
Dance...
You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing.
You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy,
that I might sing praises to you and not be silent.
O Lord my God, I will give you thanks forever!

Shoes to me represent foot protection for our walk Ref Ephesians 6:15 "and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;" and evangelism Ref Matthew 28:19 "GO therefore and make disciples..." The removal of shoes also reinforces this idea Ref Isaiah 20 where barefoot means unprotected, and in Ref Ezekiel 24:15-24 the putting on of shoes means to prepare yourself to go.

So to me in this dream your trying to get support and get prepared for something, but in the end your trying to decide between two equal options.

My advice, just pick one and move forward and go for it.

Hope this helps some.

in Christ,

Black can speak of the unknowing mystery of faith, while brown being an earthy color could speak of the natural. Maybe being torn between the comfort of what you know and the mystery of God's plan for your life.
