New Wine

Post by piano »

Exact wording evades me.

I heard something like "Save/double up on New Wine" on waking this morning.

I am looking for confirmation and/or understanding of this New Wine.

Thank you. :D

2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is long-suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Wow! What a great way to wake up! Good morning Holy Spirit!

The obvious would be Luke 5:37-39
37 “And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; otherwise the new wine will burst the skins and it will be spilled out, and the skins will be ruined. 38 “But new wine must be put into fresh wineskins. 39 “And no one, after drinking old wine wishes for new; for he says, ‘The old is good enough.’”

Sounds like the Holy Spirit has something; double something to give you! Take the time to get filled up!

Also Matt 25:1-13 came to mind as a reference to being filled.

Blessings,

Thank you Wholeheart,

I do like words spoken and actually remembering them!

I agree it is time to fill up on His precious Grace and Holy Spirit.
The Groom calls.

Isaiah 65:8

Thus says the LORD:

“ As the new wine is found in the cluster,
And one says, ‘Do not destroy it,
For a blessing is in it,’
So will I do for My servants’ sake,
That I may not destroy them all.

Save/double up on new wine Lord.

This scripture came to mind for you.

Zechariah 9:14Then the Lord will appear over them;

his arrow will flash like lightning.

The Sovereign Lord will sound the trumpet;

he will march in the storms of the south,

15 and the Lord Almighty will shield them.

They will destroy

and overcome with slingstones.

They will drink and roar as with wine;

they will be full like a bowl

used for sprinkling [fn5] the corners of the altar.

16 The Lord their God will save them on that day

as the flock of his people.

They will sparkle in his land

like jewels in a crown.

17 How attractive and beautiful they will be!

Grain will make the young men thrive,

and new wine the young women.

Joy in the morning, Piano! Drunk on the Holy Spirit. Roaring with laughter! Sparkle, sparkle, Beauty!
...that I might know Him...

I like finding more about this new wine....Verses following Moses blessing of the twelve tribes...

Deuteronomy 33:26-29

“There is no one like the God of Jeshurun,
*(Jeshurun is a poetic name for Isreal)
Who rides the heavens to help you,
And in His excellency on the clouds.

The eternal God is your refuge,
And underneath are the everlasting arms;
He will thrust out the enemy from before you,
And will say, ‘Destroy!’

Then Israel shall dwell in safety,
The fountain of Jacob alone,
In a land of grain and new wine;
His heavens shall also drop dew.

Happy are you, O Israel!
Who is like you, a people saved by the LORD,
The shield of your help
And the sword of your majesty!

Your enemies shall submit to you,
And you shall tread down their high places.
